Come LOOK ... I have something to SNOW you!!!

LOL!!! Okay, okay ... where have I been for the past 3 weeks or so??? I'm not really sure, so if you have any ideas, I'd sure appreciate the imput!!! LOL!!! Just kidding!

I've been busy with LIFE, as MOST of us are 24/7! I have also been battling a COLD for the past week solid. Ahhhh YES, the wonders of having ALL teenagers under your roof! Correction ... one of them just turned 20 the end of January, so he is NO longer considered a TEENAGER!!! Mom might find that a WEE bit debatable!!! Anyway, I RARELY ever get sick ... this was ONE of those RARITIES! The boys, it seems, have been sick FOREVER. You know, that WONDERFUL time of life when you are in CLOSE contact with your peers for whatever reason! Telling secrets, a BIG HUG, sharing a soda, bag of chips and SO on and SO forth!!! We survived and SO shall they ... I just hope that I DO at this juncture!

I've been busy with NEW changes at my "Home Away from Home", 3Scrapateers!!! I still have not received training for my NEW position as CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER, however I have been keeping myself VERY busy in the GALLERY and overseeing the MOD TEAM, working on a QUOTE CHALLENGE, participating in the FUNK IT UP contest at ScrapForums and of course, MY PASSION, creating layouts!!! Oh YES, and I have had the PLEASURE of speaking with my mother on ALMOST a daily basis via SKYPE and my computer! The ONLY way to go if you don't have FREE long distance on your landline or cell phone. The BEST part is that the person on the receiving end sounds as though they are in the VERY same room with you!

I have SO much to catch up on here and just don't know where to start!!! Yes, I do know where to start. I'll start with yesterday. We started a NEW CONSTRUCTION cleaning (Robert's business in which we do the FINAL clean of a home that has just completed construction and we PREP it for the owners to move into) up the hill in Angels Camp yesterday morning with the hopes of having it completed tomorrow. This was one of those HELPLESS moments when you are reminded that YOU are NOT in charge of TIME!!!

The day went well for the MOST part. Luke and John were VERY helpful, with John cleaning windows and Luke doing the vacuumming to prepare ALL surfaces for DEAR mother to wipe EVERYTHING down with a MICRO cloth and Murphy's Oil Soap! Gotta LOVE that Murphy's ... WOOD-friendly with a FRESH and CLEAN scent!!!

John and I left shortly after 4:00 pm and headed over to the PG&E office to pay our ELECTRIC bill while we were in town. Upon our return, Robert and Luke had finished up and were ready for us to head for HOME!!! Sounded GOOD to me as my FIBRO likes to kick in after a few hours of CONSTANT physical activity!

We were nearly HALF-WAY home when someone noticed a mountain top COVERED in snow. I looked up at found it a BIT difficult to keep my composure, as this girl has not been SO close to SNOW in several years!!! Robert and I have been hoping for SNOW this year and had just about given up ANY hope with Spring SO quickly approaching!

So ... here is the FIRST photo that I captured of SNOW in Calaveras County, inbetween Angels Camp and our home town, Copperopolis. By the time we took our LAST turn home, which is about 2. something miles UPHILL, it started hailing HARD and EVERYTHING was turning WHITE quickly!

We were ALL so excited, however, POOR Robert was driving and NOT quite sure that we were going to be able to make it ALL the way up to the house without SLIDING right off the road! The boys and I calmed ourselves down, Robert SLOWED WAY DOWN and I suggested he use a lower gear. WHEW!!! We made it.

EVERYONE scrambled from the car and in different directions for different reasons! It was FREEZING and I need to grab my mittens, Robert needed to use the restroom and the boys headed for the SHED to find the SLED!

Without FURTHER adieu ... SEE BELOW for what we encountered on the evening of March 10, 2006 (mind you, we have broken records here!). Hopefully, I have ALL photos dated and somewhat labeled so that you sorta know what you are looking at BESIDES snow!!!

Hope you ENJOY these as much as I did taking them! I will try to catch up on some other VERY important things tomorrow after we return from cleaning. Forecast calls for MORE snow overnight, but I am praying that we are spared so that we can make it to our worksite!!!
